| I started to read the book "The Key to Zion". I think the book has an interesting beginning. The prologue starts of with the Roman Army invading the Holy City. The key holder seemed very distressed, tired, and sick of all the fighting in my opinion. I feel bad for the Rabbi and Rachel's brother. I would feel very bad to if my sister fell into a trap and would be likely dead along with a proffesor that was my friend. I think that the Rabbi made the right choice when he decided to go back to Jerusalem even with the soldiers guarding the walls. | | |

Dragonsong
I think Menolly was right to run away from her home. I also think she did the right thing when she killed the bird that got stuck in the muck. When she made the oil she could have used something to scent it like berry juice instead of having the foul scent of fat. I think that Menolly could have made it back to her cave if she didn't have bad sandals on. If she thought about her footware earlier then she could have made it back to her cave but she wouldnt have been picked up by the dragon riders and brought to the weyr.

Dragon Song
The book was very boring at the beginning but it gets very addictive as you progress. The main character, Menolly, is treated harshly because of things she does. Her father beat her for playing some music that is new. Her father is trying to preserve the old ways, while the new Harper is subtly trying to change the old ways to improve life at the Half-Circle keep. Menolly cuts her right hand and disables it from moving very much so she is no longer able to play the guitar. Menolly then just stays quiet and no longer sings. She likes to be alone and leaves early in the morning to get away from others and keeps mostly to herself.
| In the book I chose to read, humans live in a different world. In this world the Red Star passes by their planet, strange creatures called sporelife come. The sporelife are harmful because they eat living things. Good thing the sporelife drown in water, but the people can't really live on the water. The humans ended up moving away to natural caves away from the sporelife. When they moved they found creatures they named dragons after the lizards on earth. They domesticated the dragons and used them to fight the sporelife. The dragons proved to be very useful. The dragons could breath fire which was very effective against the sporelife and if need be could get away fast by their ability to teleport. The Red Star comes into orbit every several years. Then at one of the expected times the sporelife didn't come. When the sporelife didn't come the people started to doubt if they would come again. The dragons started to become less important. The next time the sporelife came there weren't enough dragons to defend the people. Then the dragon riders discovered that the dragons not only could teleport to any given place, but also to any period in time. So 2 of the remaining dragon riders went back in time. | | |
| I agree with your questions and your opinion about the book Ravi. I would like to add that the author could of at least added more to the ending, like what happens to George,Candy, and Crooks?. Another question I would like to ask is how would the story be different if Curly and everyone else forgave Lennie and were glad about getting rid of Curly's wife. Would George be able to accomplish his dream with Lennie and Candy? Would Crooks go along with them? | | |
